PREPARING
FOR
CONSTRUCTION
Once
the
character
of
the
chosen
design
is
clear,
work
to
obtain
planning
and
other
consents
can
begin.
To
date,
the
practice
has
not
had
any
design
rejected
or
seriously
modified.
In
tandem
with
the
above,
the
material
and
constructional
character
of
the
building
is
being
developed.
Extensive
hands-on
and
on-site
experience
with
a
wide
range
of
construction
and
material
types
keeps
this
work
well
grounded
in
practicality,
without
dampening
ambition.
The
practice
has
good
relationships
with
a
range
of
other
professionals
for
specialist
work,
although
we
are
able
to
perform
many
basic
engineering
and
environmental
calculations
in-house.
Similarly,
wide
experience
with
on-site
management
of
projects
of
differing
scales
and
contractual
approaches
gives
confidence
in
budgeting,
programming
and
selection
of
appropriate
procurement
routes
and
corresponding
information
flows |
