DESIGN
DEVELOPMENT
With
increased
understanding
of
the
project,
the
nature
and
relationships
of
key
places
form
the
basis
of
the
imaginative
development
of
the
design
-
the
project
begins
to
take
on
a
life
of
its
own,
and
is
communicated
using
sketches,
drawings
and
models
as
appropriate.
The
design
process
can
be
thought
of
as
an
upward
spiral
of
increasingly
detailed
understanding
of
the
character
of
the
proposals,
in
terms
of
costs
and
other
practical
implications,
as
well
as
in
design
terms.
The
key
stage
at
every
turn
of
the
spiral
is
thorough
discussion
of
the
design
with
the
client,
further
developing
shared
ownership
of,
and
commitment
to
the
project.
We
manage
this
process
to
ensure
that
we
converge
on
a
chosen
scheme
at
an
appropriate
time
-
we
don't
hurry
the
process,
but
neither
do
we
let
the
project
become
lost
in
a
morass
of
options. |
