COMMUNICATION AND EXPERTISE The practice uses computers intensively and extensively in all aspects of its work, and has the ability to create project specific information systems if required. However, we are strongly of the opinion that appropriate hand drawings, models and extensive use of on-site mock-ups are the best way for a deep understanding of proposals to be developed during design work, so that computer drawings and simulations are used only when they are able to offer some unique benefit. The practice can claim particular interest and expertise in ecologically sustainable design, working sensitively with existing buildings, project management, timber framed construction, design of furniture, bespoke fittings and lighting.
