BEAUTY We work, always, to make beautiful buildings. While in this style conscious age, many hold that beauty is no more than individual taste, we are firm in our belief that in the relations between humans and buildings, buildings and the environment, many fundamental conditions exist, which if recognised and resolved, will underpin any truly beautiful design. We are modest in our approach, happy to see beauty in the simplest appropriate solution. We are generally uninterested in being contemporary for the sake of it, or in slavishly following precedent in a hopeful attempt to 'fit in'. We always look for the most beautiful resolution of the real needs of the client and users of the building, the real conditions of the site, the real constraints of budget and programme, and the impact of the design on the wider environment.
